Decks, fences, pergolas… they all improve the enjoyment of your yard. And who can deny the warmth and beauty of wood? But wood has 2 natural enemies and both are bound to threaten your precious outdoor enjoyment. Water and sun degrade wood over time. Rain & snow cause a cycle of swelling & shrinking and, ultimately, cracking. By applying a moisture barrier, you are prolonging the life and look of your investment. To make matters more complicated, our best summer friend the sun causes UV damage which makes your wood look rough and even more susceptible to deterioration. Better stains will protect wood from both moisture and UV rays.
